Definitely beginning to see some progress with the elbow as a result of my rehab program which includes, in no particular order, stretching, ice, eccentric contraction exercises, something called the Reverse Tyler Twist using a Thera-band flex bar, and tendon massage. I have avoided paddles and have lifted only light weights.
This is my last week training on my own; next week I plan to swim at UT. This afternoon I swam in the outdoor 25 meter pool at Life Time. I wanted to swim some faster repeats today so I backed off on the interval for the main set.
400 swim, 300 pull, 200 kick, 100 swim
8 x 50, two each @ 1:00, :55, :50, :45
10 x 150 @ 2:45, averaged 1:59 which is at 1500 race pace
200 pull easy
Only felt a slight twinge in the elbow today.
