Still struggling a bit in the pool but making some progress. 

I swam at Nitro on Friday with Steve, Jackie, and Jean.  The pool was set up long course.  Scott coached.  After a transition set of 5 x 100 @ 1:45 (averaged 1:24) we swam a 1000 for time.  I felt sluggish and only managed a 14:54, which was right at my 5K pace from last year.  I really should be able to hold a 1:25 pace/100.  I lifted weights Friday evening but missed the Saturday morning practice at Nitro because I was called into the hospital at 1:30 am so I slept in and swam at Life Time in the indoor 25 meter pool.  My main set was 8 x 200 @ 3:00 averaging 2:45 which was a solid effort.

This morning I swam at Nitro with Jennifer, who is planning to swim with her club team this semester, next to David, Steve, Zach, and Tom.  Stephen coached.  We are swimming short course again.

400 swim, 100 kick, 400 pull
10 x 100 @ 1:30, averaged 1:11-1:12
8 x 75 @ 1:15, kick/drill/swim, IM order
10 x 100 @ 1:30, odds free, evens IM; averaged 1:11 on the free and 1:21 on the IM, felt stronger than I did on the first set of 100s
400 pull, breathing 3/5/3/7
100 easy

Just over 15 weeks until I will begin tapering for Nationals.  There is still much work to be done.
