Slept in Saturday and swam in the outdoor 25 meter pool at Life Time. The weather and the water temperature were both perfect.  Since I was unable once again to locate a pace clock, I decided to swim 5 x 800s with roughly two minutes rest. Later at Lane 4 I picked up a combination lap counter/timer that you wear on your index finger and activate with your thumb. This morning I swam at Nitro with Steve, James, Tom, David, Anthony, and Zach. Stephen coached.


500 swim, 400 free/back, 300 kick
4 x 50 drill/swim @ 1:00
4 x 25 @ :30
Main set:
4 x 300 @ 5:00, went 3:37, 3:36, 3:36, and 3:35 (1650 race pace); very strong set for me
Pull set:
2 x (1 x 200 @ 2:45, 1 x 100 @ 1:20, 1 x 50 @ :40, and 4 x 25 @ :20)
400 easy

Planning to fully taper for the scm zones meet in San Antonio December 4-5. My goal is to break 20:00 in the 1500 and 10:00 in the 800 free. I will enter the 400 as well but may or may not actually swim it.
