Certain sets in Masters swimming are like Everest: they appear so insurmountable that we rarely attempt them, and when we do we typically fail. In this category I include 100s @ 1:10 in scy and 100s @ 1:20 in lcm. I arrived at Nitro this morning with absolutely no plans to climb Everest. I shared a lane with Tom and Anita. Stephen coached.

4 x 100 @ 1:20, made 'em, averaging 1:18-1:19. Tom led the lane, and I left :10 back. I have made this interval only once in Masters swimming, and that was two years ago.
