Testing day

Skipped the morning practice at Nitro because I had to take my re-certification board exam in interventional cardiology. Sitting for the six hour exam requires proof of an adequate number of procedures (150 in the preceding two years) and 100 points worth of continuing education. Assuming I passed, the certificate will be valid until 2019, when I will be 61 (but still not as old as my good friend and teammate Tom).

Swam at Life Time in the indoor 25 meter pool. Trying to concentrate on anaerobic threshold sets in preparation for the 1500.

400 swim, 200 kick, 400 pull
8 x 300 @ 4:30 (first time I have done this set in Masters), holding 4:07 (1:22/100 pace=En2); HR at the end was 168
200 easy
