Swam at Nitro with David, Steve, Greg, and Tom. Clint coached.

500 swim, 300 kick, 300 pull
5 x 100 drill @ 1:45
8 x 200, 1-4 @ 3:00 (descended from 2:30 to 2:21) and 5-8 @ 2:45 (descended from 2:26 to 2:20); Greg and Steve swam 10 @ 2:30, descending to 2:02; David (aka Sammy Save Up) went 2:39 on number 7, then blasted number 8 for a 2:12; Tom pulled these and descended to a 2:08.

  1. The lower level group at our club went 13 X 200 @ 3:20 today so it's interesting to see what the higher level does a bunch of 200s on. I thought if I had to do 13 of them, I would probably choose 2:35 or 2:40 and try to hold :25s or :26s. Anway, I have decided the Sammy Save Up is the way to go on descending sets. For instance, if we descend 1-5, I typcially descend 1-3, SSU 4 and then go pretty fast on 5. That's the Masters perogative descencion.
